No matter the season, warm clothing is essential when trekking in Tibet. While it might get quite warm in summer, nighttime temperatures often drop to freezing, so a warm jacket or coat is required. For daytime trekking, light clothing are sufficient, with a windproof jacket.
It is also recommended to bring certain safety items like a first aid kit, water purification tablets and sunscreen.
